I am using a laptop running Windows 10 Pro x64 i7-4510U based Intel processor with 12GB installed RAM, version 22H2, OS Build 19.045.7417 (the latest). My system is running an Intel 8-core processor. I have presently upgraded to LibreOffice ver. 26.2.4.2 and when I try to insert a video media file in a saved *.pptx file using LO Impress-Insert-Media, the software just crashes and then opens a "Send crash report" box - which I have done on several occassions and has a box to choose "Open LO in safe Mode". KINDLY NOTE : that this happens for even when I try to open *.odp saved files using LO Impress, and then attempt to insert Media files from the menu - and that too crashes for ALL TYPES of media files (*.mpeg, *.mpg, *.mp4, *.mkv, *.avi, *.wvm etc). Interestingly in safe mode ONLY, LO Impress opens, and plays *.mpg Video media files. Kindly help with resolving this issue. Many thanks for your otherwise TRULY AWESOME LibreOffice Software.
