            Bug ID: 172788
Summary: UX: Add option to disable object rotation toggle on
                    double/sequential click
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Draw
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

In LibreOffice Calc (and other modules), clicking an object multiple times
alternates the selection handles between resizing/moving (blue dots) and
rotation/slanting (red dots). For everyday work — especially in Calc — moving
and aligning shapes horizontally/vertically is an extremely frequent task,
while rotating shapes is very rare. The accidental activation of the rotation
mode during repetitive object manipulation causes frustration and slows down
productivity.
Requested Feature: Please add an option in the UI (for example, in the Tools ->
Options menu, or as a toggle button in the Sidebar/Properties panel, or a "Lock
Rotation" checkbox under Position and Size -> Protect) that disables the
rotation handles completely for drawing objects, locking the selection to
resizing/moving only. This would greatly improve the user experience for users
who manage large amounts of diagrams and shapes within spreadsheets without
triggering unexpected rotations.
