windbg ST during hang on LO launch with bad 27.20.100.8853 driver for Intel
11th gen Iris Plus iGPU (0x8a52)
On a system with 0x8a52 Intel Iris Plus iGPU, a Windows 11 inplace "toggle"
upgrade from 24H2 to 25H2 resulted in unnoticed rollback to WDDM 2.7 driver
(27.20.100.8853). That caused LibreOffice launch to hang with the attached
WinDbg stack trace. Not sure exactly what step in the graphics testing is
failing.
With this rollback, the vulkaninfo.exe diagnostic test was faulting out as
well, but the vkcube.exe was running.
Forcing the driver onto its correct latest WDDM 3.1 (31.0.102.2141) driver
cleared the issue and LO comes up in skia / Vulkan rendering mode with no
issue.
