This partially fixes this LO issue, as the main window is not receiving "wrong" x,y-coordinates from the popover anymore. Thus, the jumping of the popover is gone. There is a remaining problem. While the cursor is on the popover, the main window will not receive pointer-related signals and the popup position is not updated (please see https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/work_items/8169#note_2787275) Anyhow, with that gtk3 change, this patchset has no effect anymore.
