We discussed the topic in the design meeting. MS Word's shortcut is rather a
hotkey with the sequence Alt+N+T+I at the Insert tab. This is awkward. We
believe that inserting a table is a very common task, and our insert table
dialog is easy to handle without a mouse, so we decided to add a shortcut. And
since ctrl+T not only sounds like a perfect match but is also free this would
be the suggested solution.
