There is a lot wrong with using AI and people are writing about the issue of proxying AI output to humans all the time, just one random recent example: https://tombedor.dev/human-attention-and-human-effort/ > As it stands Ilmari, > the project appears to be in serious need of assistance regarding onboarding > and documentation, so it seems counterproductive to restrict the format of > constructive feedback or how it is generated. "In serious need of assistance" is not at all applicable. Our onboarding and mentoring process is very robust and as I mentioned earlier, we go to lengths not commonly seen in free software projects. We normally mentor or otherwise support around 200 new contributors per year. We have to limit the number of contributors we bring in to avoid being overwhelmed, so we are in a very privileged position and grateful for it. If you want to have a longer discussion about this topic, we can have a call. > Sophi, your response illustrates precisely my point: there are too many > entry points and fragmented paths.
