Bug ID: 173102
Summary: Calc Notebookbar command naming & placement issues
following section naming - Home Tab
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 27.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
The current Calc Notebookbar - after the introduction of section titles - has
many issues with section naming, command labeling, and the placement and
visibility of commands in sections. This bug regards issues with the _Home Tab_
specifically.
1. I'd replace "Cells" with "Cell Grid", since Format Cells and similar
functionality is not in there.
2. Once we say "Cells" or "Cell Grid", we should change "Merge and Center
Cells" to just "Merge & Center" or "Centered Merge".
3. The Conditional Formatting dialog Cannot be part of the "Number" NBB
section.
4. There's something weird going on in the Alignment section: On the top right
row, there seems to be an indication of an extra command, in the pressed state.
I think this might need a separate bug.
5. Where are the Cell RTL/LTR buttons?
6. The "Font" section is mis-named, having several non-font-specific commands.
Let's try "Formatting", "Format", "Cell Formatting" or "Cell Format".
7. In the "Formatting" section, we should drop the second word from the label
for the paintbrush: Instead of "Clone Formatting", we can now use "Clone".
