There are many users who like the current design and appreciate the slow evolution rather than disruptive revolutions. We improve the UI continuously and you should refer to one of the many variants we offer. Also please wait for the upcoming release that made several improvements to the Tabbed UI that resembles what you may know from MS Office. Our goal is to not just copy existing solutions but to make the work efficient and pleasing, ideally with better ideas. Also keep in mind that Not everyone likes animations and some people struggle with visual distractions. Your STR is not in alignment to the report.
