            Bug ID: 173261
           Summary: Firebird embedded: generated firebird.conf
DatabaseAccess path mismatch with actual temp folder
depth causes "not allowed by server configuration"
                    error
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Base
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When opening or creating an embedded Firebird database (.odb) with the
experimental Firebird support enabled, LibreOffice fails with the error:

firebird_sdbc error:
*Use of database at location C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Temp\XXXXXXXX.TMP\
XXXXXXXX.TMP\XXXXXXXX.TMP\FIREBIRD.FDB is not allowed by server configuration
caused by 'isc_create_database'

Root cause found: LibreOffice generates a temporary firebird.conf file with
a DatabaseAccess directive restricted to a specific temp path, for example:

DatabaseAccess = Restrict C:\Users\STEFAN~1\AppData\Local\Temp\
LU14936337TE.TMP\LU14936337TJ.TMP

However, the actual .fdb file is created ONE FOLDER LEVEL DEEPER than the
path authorized in this generated config, e.g.:

...\LU14936337TE.TMP\LU14936337TJ.TMP\LU14936337TK.TMP\FIREBIRD.FDB

This path depth mismatch (3 nested random-named .tmp folders created, but
only 2 levels authorized in the generated firebird.conf) causes Firebird's
embedded engine to correctly refuse the write, since the actual path falls
outside the authorized tree.

Steps to Reproduce:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable Tools > Options > Advanced > Enable experimental features
2. Restart LibreOffice
3. File > New > Database > Embedded database: Firebird
4. Attempt to save/create the new database

Actual Results:
Actual result:
"Impossibile creare il collegamento alla sorgente dati" / firebird_sdbc
error as described above. Reproducible with a brand-new, empty database,
not related to any specific file content.

Expected Results:
Expected result:
Database should be created successfully in the temp working folder.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
- Issue persists after uninstalling any external Firebird client/server
installation, removing PATH entries, removing ProgramData\Firebird
residual files, disabling antivirus (ESET), and resetting the LibreOffice
user profile.
- Issue is 100% reproducible on this system, on every attempt.
- Confirmed NOT reproducible on a different Windows PC with a different
LibreOffice install (same file opened fine there), suggesting environment
or version specific triggering conditions (possibly related to TEMP path
length/depth or antivirus-related temp folder behavior on this specific
machine, combined with an off-by-one bug in LibreOffice's own generated
config).
