            Bug ID: 173286
Summary: Windows Explorer displays CSV file type as
                    "OpenOffice.org 1.1 spreadsheet"
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: trivial
          Priority: medium
         Component: Installation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Setting LibreOffice as default program for file like .csv, .sxd etc show legacy
file type description as "OpenOffice 1.1 spreadsheet" in Windows Explorer. The
reason:
LibreOffice installer maps .csv files
("HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.csv\OpenWithProgIds") to the registry
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\soffice.StarCalcDocument.6" ProgID, which uses an outdated
default description string "OpenOffice.org 1.1 spreadsheet" in the "(Default)"
and "FriendlyTypeName" keys instead of something short and appropriate like
"CSV".
Also same with other types as well:
soffice.StarCalcTemplate.6
soffice.StarDrawDocument.6
soffice.StarDrawTemplate.6
soffice.StarImpressDocument.6
and so on.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install LibreOffice.
2.set the default program for the files supported by LibreOffice like.csv and
.sxd to LibreOffice.

Actual Results:
Windows Explorer file type describes .csv file as "OpenOffice.org 1.1
spreadsheet". Other files types supported by LibreOffice like .sxd show the
legacy description.

Expected Results:
Should say CSV for .csv file and something more concise and appropriate for
others.

Reproducible: Always
