Open Writer 2. Go to Tools → AutoCorrect → AutoCorrect Options → Localized Options. 3. Make sure "Replace" is unchecked for both Single Quotes and Double Quotes. 4. Enable "Enclose with characters". 5. Type some text, for example: Hello world. 6. Select the text. 7. Press the double quote (") key.
