Regina Henschel <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version|26.8.0.3 release |Inherited From OOo Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW --- Comment #4 from Regina Henschel <[email protected]> --- I consider this a bug. "Full width" should only influence the horizontal direction. When you are in text edit mode, the text area is indicated by a frame. This frame is OK. But when leaving edit mode, the text is shifted down and looks the same as if the text area rectangle has anchor "top". It was OK in OOo2.3.1 and fails in OOo3.2.0. Thus the error is inherited from OOo. BTW, the settings in "Text Attributes" do not describe a text alignment but the anchor of the text area rectangle and thus determine in which direction the text area expands when the text becomes larger. (In reply to Vagrantly from comment #3) After some testing I found out that changing the alignment, for example > aligning to the left and then back to the center, disables the full width > attribute. Is this expected? Yes. "Full width" means, that the width is determined by the shape. Therefore a combination of "Full width" with anchor left or anchor right is meaningless. Only if "Full width" is disabled the text area rectangle can expand beyond the left or right shape edges. However, to see such expanding you need to disable "Word wrap in shape", otherwise expanding is limited to shape area anyway. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
