However, I suspect that it won’t be able to reproduce the problem because I did a default debug build. Seeing as the search and replace API shouldn’t have anything Mac-specific, it seems quite likely that there is a general memory usage problem that is being triggered in combination with the compiler and optimisation options used for the Mac release builds. I can’t reproduce it with the tip of the 27.2 or 26.8 bibisect repos either, but I think those are built without optimisations as well.
