Description:
On KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland) using a multi-monitor setup with mixed DPI scales
(laptop screen + large external monitor), LibreOffice fails to scale the user
interface elements properly when using the native kf6 VCL plugin.
When moving or opening the LibreOffice window on the external display, toolbar
icons, top menu buttons, and overall UI controls appear miniature/tiny, making
them hard to read and click.
Workaround: Forcing the GTK3 backend via SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 completely
resolves the scaling issue and adapts seamlessly across both monitors on
Wayland, confirming this is specific to the kf6 VCL backend integration.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch LibreOffice under KDE Plasma 6 (kf6 + Wayland) on a multi-monitor
laptop setup with mixed DPI (e.g. LG Gram + large external monitor).
2. Move the LibreOffice window from the primary laptop display to the external
monitor.
3. Observe the size of the toolbar icons and top menu buttons.
Actual Results:
The UI buttons and toolbar icons become tiny/miniature on the external monitor
and do not scale properly.
Expected Results:
The UI should recalculate its scaling dynamically and display buttons/icons at
a normal, readable size.
