I think there is some combination of either the compiler and optimisation options used for the build or the configure options that is triggering the crash. I wouldn’t be surprised that if we were to release a version of 27.2 from master today then it could very possibly still have the bug. My local build of 26.8.0.3 with --enable-optimized didn’t reproduce the bug so there is definitely something more specific about the release configuration that triggers it.
