Bug ID: 173672
Summary: [UI] Dark mode: Icons in "Home" tab of Tabbed UI
remain dark and unreadable while other tabs render
correctly
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When running LibreOffice in Dark Mode with the Tabbed UI (Notebookbar) enabled,
the icons in the "Home" tab retain dark styling, making them blend into the
dark background and very difficult to see. In contrast, icons in all other tabs
(e.g., Insert, Layout, View) render properly as light/bright icons with
sufficient contrast.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable Dark Mode in LibreOffice / OS.
2. Change the User Interface layout to "Tabbed" (via View > User Interface >
Tabbed).
3. Inspect the icons under the "Home" tab.
4. Switch to any other tab (e.g., "Insert") and compare the icon visibility.
Actual Results:
Icons under the "Home" tab remain dark/unreadable against the dark theme
background, whereas icons in other tabs correctly switch to light colors.
Expected Results:
Icons under the "Home" tab should automatically switch to light/high-contrast
icons when Dark Mode is active, matching the behavior of the other tabs.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
