I tried both that document and creating it from scratch in both versions, and I couldn't get it to complain about recursion. I have threaded calculation and OpenCL turned on (in both versions), but I'm on Windows. Maybe that makes the difference? Anyway, if you can find someone to do the build for you, I'd appreciate some testing.
