Bug ID: 173973
Summary: Crash on open: assertion '__n < this->size()' in
vector<double>::operator[] when "Hyphenate last word"
is disabled in a justified, hyphenated paragraph style
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.6.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Opening a long document whose body paragraph style has automatic hyphenation
enabled and "Hyphenate last word" disabled
(loext:hyphenation-no-last-word="true")
aborts Writer during layout with:
/usr/include/c++/16/bits/stl_vector.h:1253: constexpr std::vector<_Tp,
_Alloc>::reference
std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::operator[](size_type) [with _Tp = double; ...]:
Assertion '__n < this->size()' failed.
The same document with that one option re-enabled opens normally. Other
hyphenation options (no caps, minimum word length, max consecutive lines,
char counts) do not trigger it.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached document (body style: justified, hyphenation on,
"Hyphenate last word" off).
Actual Results:
Writer aborts during layout with the assertion above.
Expected Results:
The document opens and lays out normally.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Version: 26.2.6.3 (Build:3)
OS: Fedora Linux, KDE Plasma
Also reproduced with the Flathub build (org.libreoffice.LibreOffice),
Reproduced with multiple different books, I'll attach a copy of Jane Eyre as an
example.
