Reproduced on Windows with 2000 rows.

1. Opened an XLSX with 2000 data rows: Date (2024 to 2026, YYYY-MM-DD), Name,
Amount.
2. Data > AutoFilter, opened the Date dropdown.
3. Typed 2026 in the search box and pressed Enter immediately (automated input,
no pause).

Result: the dropdown closed and no filter was applied; rows from 2024 and 2025
were still shown.

4. Control: opened the dropdown again, typed 2026 and waited about 3 seconds
until the list showed only the 2026 node, then pressed Enter. The filter was
applied and the status bar said 552 of 2000 records found.
5. With that filter active, opened the dropdown, typed 2025 and pressed Enter
immediately: the dropdown closed and the filter did not change (still 552 of
2000).

So the filter was ignored in both immediate attempts and applied after waiting.
