--- Comment #7 from tlamatini <[email protected]> --- (In reply to xlii0517 from comment #6) > I can get the disabled OK button with the values from the screenshot > (attachment 208130 [details]). There, Input range is '2026'.P2 and Output > range is '2026'.B2:M2, so the two ranges are swapped: the 12 data cells are > in Output and the single target cell is in Input. > > Steps (26.8.1.1, Windows): > 1. Sheet named 2026, numbers in B2:M2. > 2. Select P2, Insert > Sparkline: Input range is filled with the selection, > '2026'.P2. > 3. Type '2026'.B2:M2 into Output range: OK becomes disabled. Changing Input > to '2026'.Q12 keeps it disabled (as in comment 2). > 4. Input '2026'.B2:M2 and Output '2026'.P2: OK is enabled and the sparkline > is created in P2. > > So the check itself works, but the dialog is easy to fill in the wrong way > round: the current selection goes into Input range (Excel puts the selection > into the location range), and nothing says why OK is disabled. The check > (SparklineDialog::checkValidInputOutput) is the same in libreoffice-7-4 and > master. > > Side note: with Output range left empty, OK is enabled when the dialog > opens, and clicking OK put the sparkline into A1 of the first sheet, not the > current sheet. maOutputRange is default-constructed (A1 on tab 0) and is > accepted as valid. This may deserve its own report. > > LibreOffice: > Version: 26.8.1.1 (X86_64) > Build ID: bf6ef2662401c7d6dce671ab4deb26ee0af3a7c1 > CPU threads: 20; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: > Skia/Raster; VCL: win > Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); UI: zh-CN > Calc: CL threaded Thanks for reproducing it... just now, in retrospect, I realized I was entering the input/output ranges in reverse order, but I just "followed" the default, i.e., the dialog already had filled in the output range where the input range values should be. I agree with you that this still deserves its own report, and leave it up to you to create it (I think it is something related to user friendliness). For now at least, with your reply I was able to get my sparklines :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
