            Bug ID: 174244
Summary: [Enhancement] Calc: Smooth horizontal scrolling
                    instead of cell-by-cell snapping
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.2.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
First of all, LibreOffice is perfect for me. Thank you so much!
I would like to submit an enhancement request:
When a cell in a spreadsheet is wider than the screen, scrolling
horizontally to view its content becomes difficult. Implementing smooth
scrolling would significantly improve the user experience in this scenario.
Thank you all again, and best wishes!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a spreadsheet in LibreOffice Calc.
2. Enter a long text string into a cell in column B, ensuring it is long enough
to extend beyond the visible screen area.
3. Double-click the right border of the column B header to auto-fit the column
width. The column becomes wider than the screen.

Actual Results:
1. The right border of the column B header can no longer be dragged to readjust
the column width.
2. The end of the text in column B is difficult to view; it remains hidden
behind the column when scrolling horizontally to the right.

Expected Results:
When dragging the scroll bar, the table should scroll smoothly rather than
jumping by cell.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes
