Bug ID: 174290
Summary: Zooming with Ctrl + Scroll Wheel zooms in the opposite
direction (Right/Left flipped) in Draw and Impress
when using Arabic UI
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In LibreOffice Draw and Impress, when the User Interface language is set to
Arabic (RTL), zooming using Ctrl + Mouse Scroll Wheel behaves inversely on the
horizontal axis.
Placing the mouse cursor on the right side of the canvas and zooming in causes
the canvas to shift and zoom towards the left side instead, and vice versa.
This behavior does not occur in LTR (English) UI.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change the LibreOffice User Interface language to Arabic. Open LibreOffice
Draw or LibreOffice Impress.
2. Move the mouse cursor to the right side of the page/slide canvas.
3. Hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel forward to zoom in.
Actual Results:
The canvas zooms in towards the left side (opposite to the cursor position).
The same happens in reverse when placing the cursor on the left (it zooms
towards the right).
Expected Results:
The canvas should zoom in centered around the current mouse cursor position
(zooming to the right when the cursor is on the right).
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
