Priority: medium Bug ID: 69131 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FILESAVE: Auto File Save Feature goes into Infinite loop Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: sumitkbhard...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.1.2 rc Component: UI Product: LibreOffice Problem description: I don't know since when this feature was introduced, but in Tools-> Options -> Save/Load, along with AutoRecovery option, there is also an option to save the file too. While using this option with a 1 minute time interval, at random times, if the file is not explicitly saved, the application (I have experienced it with Both Writer and Calc) goes into infinite loop and the status bar keeps on repeating "Saving document...". This loop does not break and doesn't allow to save the file. The only option is to kill the application. I am yet to encounter this issue if the time interval for AutoRecover is set to some value greater than 1. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a large document in Writer or Calc and do not save it. 2. Keep the Save AutoRecover info option to 1 minute and keep the Also save the document checked. 3. Keep on working till the issue occurs. It's quite random for me so can't say exactly what triggers it. Current behavior: Application goes into infinite loop of saving the document but nothing is saved actually. Killing the application is the only choice. Expected behavior: On an unsaved file, the saving action should not occur, only AutoRecover should save its state. On a saved file, this should just save the file once every defined interval of time without any disruptions. Operating System: Linux (Other) Version: 4.1.1.2 rc -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
