Strange, any chance you could rerun with the wizard again, since if the .odb
doesn't exist we won't get anywhere near the crash.

(From my understanding the wizard first creates a .odb which uses firebird
internally (but when creating there is just a property within the .odb
specifying firebird), but doesn't actually load firebird until trying to open
the .odb file, which is when the crash occurs, but the .odb (if saved from the
wizard) should really still exist, unless it was otherwise removed (as can
happen in /tmp)).

Also, any chance you could see what 'make dbaccess' does? This runs unit tests
on some existing firebird dbs.

For completeness: can't reproduce with master today, on openSuse 12.3
(--enable-debug and --enable--dbgutil).
