At first sight, this looks like bug 70496, but on the other hand, you are using
the PPA, which (AFAIK) uses "--with-system-mysqlcppconn --with-system-mariadb"
and links the MySQL/MariaDB connector against libmysqlclient (not the LGPL
mariadb native client library). Right Bjoern? Then, this cannot be bug 70496.
Tim, please confirm that you are using the MySQL/MariaDB connector from the
PPA, and not one downloaded elsewhere, such as e.g. on
extensions.libreoffice.org or sourceforge. Make sure only the "system
installed" one appears in your LibreOffice extensions manager.
