The fact that yours opens with 8 Gigs and mine fails at 4 I think proves something. Also, I'm pretty sure that if I upped my SWAP to 8 gigs I'd be able to open it (and it'd be horrible and take hours because the file is insane ;) ). Still 99% sure that it's an issue with system specs vs. a problem with LibreOffice.
