          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 73656
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: MAILMERGE: Mailmerge fields crash on exit
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: m...@willpom.com
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.1.0.4 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

*** I wanted to put 'Older Version' in last known working version but I get
error message 'There is no version named 'older version' in the 'Libreoffice'
product.'
This began with 4.x but still occasionally had problems in 3.x
Current Version: 4.1.4.2
Build ID: 0a0440ccc0227ad9829de5f46be37cfb6edcf72
I think mailmerge usability could be improved.

Problem description: From old documents and newly (simple) created to test on
my system as soon as mailmerge fields are added to writer document it will
cause Libreoffice to crash on doc exit. The doc can be saved before hand. Often
when reopening the doc Libreoffice will attempt a recovery which succeeds but
then immediately crashes. Libreoffice has to be started first and then the doc
opened. This also occurs after running the wizard and completing the mailmerge.
All merged doc can be saved, exported etc.
Windows 7 64. 8gb RAM. Amd Athlon x2 64. Windows and program files on SSD,
virtual mem, app data & documents on HDDs.
I use a spreadsheet to enter data which then has a series of columns that
compiles this data differently for several different outcomes using formula.
Some of these are referenced by other sheets to produce 'reports'. Some are
used in the mailmerge which is an instruction and safety sheet given to
stewards with information specific to the point they will be stewarding. I have
also tested on simple sheets with 4 columns and 4 fields in doc - same result.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create spreadsheet with titled columns
2. Create writer doc, define spreadsheet as datasource via 'Edit>Exchange
databases'
3. Add fields to writer doc
4. Save & Exit
5. Alternately open a writer doc with fields in then exit.

Current behavior: Crashes Libreoffice on exit, attempts to recover all
previously opened docs, completes then crashes again when opening one with
fields.

Expected behavior: Libreoffice doesn't crash, only doc with fields exits,
others remain open.
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.0.4 release
