However, now I see that LibreOffice is barely able to handle 50*5 same (linked) graphics. LO on Ubuntu is unfortunately not capable to handle documents like that. Also allowing lots of memory does not change anything. By the way I realized that while saving, LibreOffice invokes numerous times following commands. I don't know what they are doing (as the graphics are linked to embedded), but they might cost most of the time: "/usr/bin/convert - density 300x300 eps:-png" as well as a very long "gs -q ...." command. I had already read the Writer Manual on graphics and there it is recommended to link and not embed grpahics if you are dealing with many, but this advice seems to be not entirely correct (given this bug entry here). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
