However, by pressing Crtl-A once, only the content of the cell in which the cursor is placed should be selected. Pressing Crtl-A once again shortly after the frist Crtl-A should then select the whole table (not the whole document). Crtl-A in odt-documents has this special (and for me very useful) behavior within tables. This worked fine in former releases. This behavior is described far down on the page https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Shortcut_Keys_for_Writer Below the headline "Shortcut Keys for Tables in LibreOffice Writer" it is written: "Ctrl+A - If the active cell is empty: selects the whole table. Otherwise: selects the contents of the active cell. Pressing again selects the entire table."
