simple data range to perform creating a chart

Problem description:
When creating a chart in calc, selecting a chart type is ignored, and the
cursor goes to top. Repeating the process continues normal.

Steps to reproduce:
1 Select data range.
2 click insert chart button or with menu/insert/object/chart.
3 Select any type of chart and the cursor goes back to the first type of chart
and doesn't apply to the chart.
4 Repeat selecting the chart type, and now it does apply the selected one.

Current behavior:
selecting the chart type in the editing window doesn't apply to the chart. Need
to repeat selecting, and is abnormal.

Expected behavior:
Selecting the chart type the first time it should apply the chart type to the
graph.
