I don't have this problem in Win7x64 using 4.2.4.2
try to reset user profile like explained here:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
if issue persist, uninstall and do a clean new install.
if keeps persisting try the portable release from here:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
give us some feedback. in the meantime i set status to NEEDINFO
