Why not just use the keyboard shortcuts for the menu options to insert rows
and columns? That is:
Alt-i, r = insert row
Alt-i, c = insert column

Those are exactly the ones I was looking for in my original bug report.
(Although I think I said alt-i, alt-c, not just alt-i, c (on my version they
both work).
And, those are also excel defaults.
