Well, fact is that the header and footer in Word' edit mode is shown
'transparent' or faded. If you double click on the footer it is shown how it
looks like when you print/export it to PDF. So, this is not a bug, it is an
editing oddity in Word. (check yourself by exporting it to PDF)

This is also fixed, there is now text in the textbox.
Tested using Windows 8.1 with LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+

There are still some minor text position errors, but this should be reported in
another bug report (and is probably already reported somewhere).
