My main PC works poorly with both USB and Bus mice. My No 2 PC works well with both USB and Bus mice. My laptop works badly with USB and mouse pad. My laptop under windows 7 Libre Office 3.4.5 works well with USB mouse. My laptop under windows 7 MS Word 2010 was hopeless, I gave up. When the Linux machines give bad results it's due to the mouse click not activating the x and often causes the mark in other boxes to disappear or reappear (like Christmas lights). There is often a noticeable delay between the click and getting the box marked. The No 2 PC is an Acer Aspire with an Intel board. The No 1 PC has an Asus board with an AMD-64 updated to 4 g and a Radeon HD6450 video. It took a bit of effort to boot with the new video.
