On windows, i've found libreoffice pasting html rather than rtf, so i have had to always paste special rtf. While i've seen bug reports, like bug 80796, where libreoffice's default paste isnt the one the user wishes and they didnt want 'unformatted text'. Ultimately, the context menu is to simplify when possible the need to access the menu, toolbars, and dialogs.
