I did a bit more digging, and found that I *can* add the "Print..." button to the toolbar. After going to View|Toolbars|Customize...|Toolbars, select Add... then select the Documents category, and scroll down through the Commands list to find Print. Click on Add; this will put the Print command button on the toolbar. Close the Add dialogue box and use the move up/move down arrows to move the Print button to where you want it. Worked fine, it's just a bit less straightforward than it used to be.
