That is as good as it gets for 4.2 and 4.3 and master. Not clear in your script sample how far zoom'd into the image you were. Bug 81497 is open for issues of EPS vector not being retained and used for printing to PS (or for Export to PDF), at present the pstoedit rendering of EPS as EMF/WMF is very rough with too few vertices being generated and poor use of arcs, cords and splines. Use of EPS vector images for PS printing was correct through the 4.1 builds, but has gone missing.
