I can confirm I also get this bug. It pauses for at least 5 seconds when you click on the File menu. Here is a process monitor capture of the stack. I am not very good at diagnosing it any further than this. I was just wondering if this could be related to the fonts changes that Microsoft have been updating recently as it looks to be something to do with true type font buffer. I have no idea though.
