I disagree with Owen Genat's characterization of the problem in Comment 14, but it's a subtle point. When I click on the Smooth Transition button (having selected one of the points of my Zigzag.odg, uploaded with my Comment 3), the shape of the curve changes at that point to the rounded shape that a smooth transition would have. However, that point does not become a smooth transition, but remains a corner. On a smooth transition, moving one of the control points causes the other to move in the opposite direction.
