First of, many many thanks Thorsten for patching this. As far as I can see this
is still not entirely fixed in the current nightly. I was wondering if part of
this problem depends on using a HiDPI display mode. I still see substantial
jumps of characters laterally as I resize the window and wonder if the
calculations are still being done on "pixels"? I will check on my older 2010
MBP which is non-retina.
