Certainly we can use external addons but MS Word gives the opportunity to do it right away in next of using external tools. Why not then also in Writer offer such functionality? There are Mendeley, Zotero which are known to work in both - MS Word and LibreOffice Writer. But if we really would like to make LibreOffice usable in academic world then it is extremely needed feature! Currently there is real problem, that science magazines, conferences will accept only docx format as scientific paper format. Wh not odt? One of the reasons is that there is missing citation feature. Therefore it is not possible to process correct layout. Already in gymnasium (since 10th grade) is such citation very important to make research work. But office suite usage starts in general school and where to use LibreOffice if not in general education? Missing citation feature is one of the core reasons for that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
