However I cannot run Dragon Naturally Speaking with this combination of programs to test it since Dragon informs me that it is not possible to run the version I have under OS 10.10.3. However the upgraded operating system does speech recognition and takes dictation. I have not done a formal comparison with Dragon, but in brief it works, and so I am not planning to upgrade Dragon, and my problem is solved. (I can also type two handed now!)
