Could not reproduce in Windows.
1. New Text Document.
2. Type “This is a test.”.
3. Place cursor at end of paragraph and Insert → Fields → More Fields →
Functions tab.
4. Select Hidden Paragraph and type TRUE into Condition box, Insert, and Close.
5. Toggle View → Hidden Paragraphs.
Result:
Hidden Paragraph is hidden.

You could always try resetting your profile by renaming your current one:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_Profile
Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED once you have provided the
necessary information.
