The font used in the tooltip you show is exceedingly large--3/4+ of the height
of the button icons.
Instead, the height of font of the tooltip should be closer to 1/3 the height
of the button icons.
Please provide details of your OS and graphics, are you by chance on a HiDPI
monitor?
