online update will try to propose the arch that was installed now. So if you
have 64bit version for windows installed, it will create a link that points to
the 64bit version.
For Mac, there are no 32bit versions anymore, so you won't get an update for
those (but you should get a note that it is not available for that
architecture, that you can switch to 64bit version):
"No 32bit update available - for OS X 10.8 or later, please install 64bit
version of LibreOffice."
