            Bug ID: 95780
Summary: Image File read errors (multiple images displayed)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 4.4.6.3 release
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: z...@visione.it

Hello,
error happens when working on files created and modified ONLY with LO, never
touched with MSO.
Occasionally, a "file read error" message appears in place of images, flashing
and switching with the image file name, but no image is displayed.
This seems to happen most when two ormore images are displayer in on screen and
after an operation that scrolled the page or moved the image across separate
pages.
Display usually works just fine up to this point, then all images start
displaying the error message / file name sequence.
Sometimes LO recovers after some time (usually after serving some "scroll"
command that moves some images out of view; sometimes it seems to stai
indefinitely put.
In rare cases does LO become unresponsive forever.
LO process is reported as responding by WIndows task manager, consumong approx
25% CPU with barely any disk activity.

Usually, the same unmodified file is perfectly viewed after scrolling or
restarting LO.
Does not seem to depend on the specific file or the specific image files, more
related to the particular "view" where multiple imges are in view, possibly
across page boundaries.

I noticed this behavour across several recent versions, uncorredted.

Working with files saved in MSO format for compatibility, may this matter.

Thank you,
Luca
