LibreOffice can be used to write emails which are then copy and pasted into Thunderbird. Just pasting produces formatting with strange results. Selecting 'Paste[d] without formatting' in Thunderbird helps. However, paragraph spacing is not preserved with 'Paste without formatting'. An unnumbered Enter between numbered paragraphs would be convenient as this would enable Thunderbird and LibreOffice to look the same without extra formatting before sending an email.
