You can use:
Menu/Insert/Field Date or Time.
Menu/Insert/Fields - Other fields - Document Date or Time with selected format.
Making visible:
Menu/View/Toolbars/Insert
Modify the toolbaar:
Menu/Tools/Custom - Toolbars.
Add a Shortcut keys.
Menu/Tools/Custom - keyboard (Insert)
