Bug ID: 98292 Summary: Automatically create a equation if libreoffice encounters MathML on Drag-and-Drop Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Formula Editor Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gun...@peterpall.de This weekend I have added a "copy as MathML" feature to wxMaxima, a graphical frontend for maxima, a computer algebra system and was surprised that it actually is useless: Lacking a good text editor I tried to paste the MathML version of an equation into MS word - and on encountering the line <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mtable> as the first line of the text object on the clipboard it was automatically converted to a 2D formula. Libreoffice nearly provides this feature, too. But currently in order to use it more steps are needed: - manually create a formula and - choose tools/import MathML from Clipboard. ...which isn't too bad, but less seamless than the other programme, especially as the feature is not too easy to find if one doesn't expect it to be somewhere => I would like see the autodetection and autoimport of MathML added to libreoffice, too and write this ticket. Thanks a lot, and keep up your good work, Gunter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
