             Bug #: 50038
Summary: CONFIGURATION: Writer compresses toolbars with hidden
buttons, even if the visible ones fit on screen
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: jewel...@fursona.net

PROBLEM

When you're customizing a toolbar, if you uncheck the box to show a button or
item instead of deleting the stuff you don't want on it, Writer will start
turning the buttons on the far side of the toolbar into >>>

Writer seems to think that the buttons are still there, and it'd better make
room.

HOW TO REPRODUCE

1. Go to Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars.
2. Add and hide a bunch of items, maybe 10 each, to a toolbar. I used the
Standard toolbar instead of creating a custom one.
3. Watch what happens. You may need to restart Writer. I also noticed it
happening on autosave, when the toolbar got greyed out and apparently
refreshed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Writer won't compress toolbars unless there are too many visible buttons to fit
onscreen.

PLATFORM

Fedora 17 beta.
